GENITORTURERS Frontwoman Comments On GIDGET GEIN's Passing

October 10, 2008

Frontwoman Gen of the Florida-based "shock-rock" band GENITORTURERS — which also features MORBID ANGEL frontman David "Evil D" Vincent on bass — has issued the following update:

"We received an unfortunate call late last night letting us know that our friend Brad 'Gidget Gein', former [MARILYN] MANSON/SPOOKY KID bassist, was found dead at a friend's house [in Burbank, California] where he was currently staying. As of now, there is no official cause of death; however, circumstances seem to perhaps point toward an unintentional overdose.

"Today I spoke to his former girlfriend of four years who lives here in Florida and is attempting to locate his family. He is survived by his mother and two sisters. Unfortunately, as of now, there is little to no info as to his family's whereabouts as the contact numbers that she has are not in service.

"If anyone has info as to the names of his mother or sisters, please let us know and we pass this info on.

"Gidget was a witty, inspiring individual and a creative artistic soul with a uniquely twisted sense of humor that always succeeded in making us laugh and smile. We have only fond memories of our 16+years of knowing him, and will definitely miss him greatly."
